Learning about India

Dear Parents,
        The entire 6th age was treated to a wonderful powerpoint and dance demonstration today by Arnavi's family about their native country of India. They wore beautiful outfits, taught us to say a few words in Hindi, gave us a general overview of India, including the schools, animals, holidays, dances, clothes, etc. They even let us taste some of the snacks they enjoy eating in India which were made from rice. Everyone really enjoyed their presentation! Please enjoy some pictures of their visit!

Collaborating with our 7th grade buddies

Trip to the Baltimore Aquarium

Dear Parents,
         We had a great time visiting the National Aquarium of Baltimore today. Aside from the many wonderful undersea life exhibits we saw and the rainforest, we also were treated to a special learning  session called Aquatic Critters, where we got to touch and feel a sea snail, a hermit crab, and a horseshoe crab.
