Dear Parents,
Here are pictures of our class Valentine's Party on Feb. 14th. The children had lots of fun doing the limbo and choosing a mascot for the party that was tossed around in a game of hot potato. They also listened to Mr. Flowers read a picture book about thr Bob Marley song, "Don't Worry, Be Happy" and then heard the music. Afterwards, the children ate some fruit kabobs brought in by Mrs. Dawson and some out of this world individual cakes brought in by Ms. Greene. Finally, the boys and girls opened their valentine cards. Many thanks as well to Mrs. Kitchel for the juices, to Mrs. Hervy for the paper products, and to Dr. Simpson for organizing all the fun actvities. As you can tell, a good time was had by all!
You will also see photos of our visit from a pilot class father,Mr. Caffrey, who works for NASA. He spoke to all the sixes in the auditorium about what is currently happening in the space program and brought wonderful pictures and an actual astronaut's space suit for the children to see. The children also received space ice cream and some NASA stickers at the end. It was really interesting!
Hope you enjoy the photos!
Sincerely,
Louise Catlin
